How to read the numbers
Obscurity is where a place sits between the most-read article in its category (0%) and the least-read (100%), ranked within the category of monthly views. Points is what the answer scores in a round: 100 at the famous end and up to 1,000 at the obscure end. A place’s obscurity is always measured against its whole category, whatever condition the prompt carried.
Knowing the list doesn’t make the game easy: most rounds carry a condition, and a daily is thirty seconds a round. But if you’ve ever wondered whether the Volga is a better answer than the Ob, here is the answer.
